MVP MMA integration timeline.
Independent portfolio case study built only from public information; not affiliated with or endorsed by Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) or the Professional Fighters League (PFL). Bracketed IDs refer to the case study source log. Green bars are recommendations, not company plans.
What the timeline shows
The PFL brand becomes MVP MMA on January 1, 2027 [P4]. As of the September 25 cutoff, the company has no named chief executive [P1], no U.S. media partner [P3, P4], and no public proof behind its "fighter-first" promise [P5]. The chart places the sourced events against the recommended communication workstreams for each of the four issues, in priority order. The period covered runs from July 2026 to June 2027.
How to read it
- Gray marks events with a source ID. Green marks recommended timing. A dashed outline means the date has not been announced.
- The orange line is the source cutoff, September 25, 2026. Everything to its right is either scheduled or recommended.
- Groups follow the risk priorities in the issue analysis. Hover over any bar to see its dates and source.
The critical path
- Name the chief executive by October 16. PFL Chicago airs on ESPN2 that night [P12], and it is the next moment when media will ask who runs the company. The announcement runs owned first, then earned within 48 hours, then paid once owned pages appear in search. The dates for those three steps are illustrative and move with the naming date.
- Announce fighter commitments by December 12. The company should extend its $40,000 minimum and its sponsor policy, both on record for MVP MMA 1 only [P9, P10], to the full roster. "Fighter-first" stays paused until then.
- Treat December 1 as the partner gate. If no U.S. partner has been announced by then, crossover messaging switches to the no-partner holding line.
- Hold the January 1 crossover. The fan campaign and title-lineage messaging lead into it. Bridge content carries fans to a first MVP MMA event that has no date yet [P3].
What would move the chart
| Watch item | Effect on the timeline |
|---|---|
| W1 Chief executive named | Resets the owned, earned, and paid dates; delay past October 16 pushes the spokesperson work back. |
| W2 U.S. partner announced | Before January 1, the partner leads the crossover. After January 1, it becomes a second launch moment. |
| W3 or W4 Contract or pay news | Brings the fighter commitments forward and starts the validator program early. |
| W5 UFC signing | Triggers the holding statement; no change to other dates. |
Changes in this revision
- White's statement is dated July 31 and cites a primary source (P11). The two UFC signings are shown separately as undated and secondary-sourced (S6).
- PFL Chicago now cites P12 and is no longer labeled as the last PFL-branded event, which no source supports. The ESPN deal end is a single marker at the end of 2026 [P4].
- Added: the audience baseline, the CEO announcement sequence, the "fighter-first" pause, pay commitments tied to P9 and P10, owned answers, search identity, and the proposed monitoring service.
- Issue 2 now shows Likelihood High, as revised by the baseline. Partner scenario approval moves to October, because draft holding lines already exist in the briefing.
